Miss Puerto Rico will compete in Miss America 2010! For the first time since 1961 Miss Puerto will have the opportunity to win the crown of Miss America bringing the total number of girls who will compete for the title to 53! To read the press release click here.
Miss Arizona, Alicia-Monique Blanco, the second runner up in the Miss USA competition was interviewed on News Channel 12 in Arizona regarding her thoughts on Miss California’s answer regarding gay rights. Blanco was supportive of Miss California but suggested that she would have answered the question regarding same sex marriage differently.
As you prepare for pageants you have to be prepared for those tough questions such gay marriage, universal health care, government bailout, abortion and the countless other controversial questions that will arise. Unfortunately if Miss California’s team would have better prepared her for this question she could have answered the question with the same amount of conviction, with more tact and might have walked away with the crown.
