As a pageant girl, it is expected for you to be both smartĀ and sharp. You should aim to be well versed in current events in your off season, but it’s difficult to know it all. With a solid base of knowledge and a little strategy, you can tackle tough questions during on stage and personal interview.
There are three easy ways to answer any question. This method is one you can practice at any time to sharpen your skills.
How to Handle Tough Interview Questions
1) Do your homework: Know what is going on in the world. As Americans, we all know the heavy price for being uneducated in the ways of the world.
2) Never (EVER) Lie: If you don’t know, say you don’t know. No one will blame you for not knowing the whole world in a glance. However, people will lose respect for someone who tells lies.
3) The Solution: Here’s what a switch and bait will sound like:
“Im not too sure about that however, what I do know is this…” Talk about he foundation of the question. Is it about education, friendship, tolerance? You can expand on those topics.
This simple method can also be used for getting around controversial answers as well. Try it out with friends and family. The more you practice in unfamiliar topics the more comfortable you will become.
