There are as many titles as there are stars in the sky! When entering pageantry, it can be difficult to choose the best pageant system one out of a million. Each pageant system has it’s own unique characteristics and history that shape it’s contestants and titleholders.

Your time, talents, and passion are all valuable, so choosing a system that is right for you is essential. Here are some things to research in your quest for the right pageant organization for you:

1) Values Match: Look into the mission statement of the pageant and the scoring system.  Many pageants put emphasis on one area over others. Make sure it leans toward what is important to you as well.

2) Your Ideal Title: Have you had a dream of being Miss America your whole life? Look at the highest level of the system for a picture of the “job”. Does the reigning queen have carry the responsibilities that you want?

Top 3 Unexpected Picks for Miss America

Miss Montana, Miss Hawaii, Miss Nevada

Brittany Wiser, Raeceen Anueue, Christy Keegan

We all have an idea in our head about who Miss America is to us. We have a certain look, style, and All-American Story. I think the power an appeal of The Dark House is much more alluring.
Any of the winners would be more than happy and prepared to take the title.

I have chosen three of the 2010 contestants that I believe have some great qualities not to be so easily overlooked. That something special is present with:

Miss Nevada Christy Keegan

She is one of the most strikingly beautiful contestants. It was her platform that turned my head a second time: rape. I commend anyone with a non-fluffy platform. I hope her courage comes through on stage.

Miss Hawaii Raeceen Anueue

I like Miss Hawaii simply because she has a servant’s heart as seen through her platform of the Priceless Joy of Serving. I’m sure as Miss A she would extend her hand in service to our nation.

Miss Montana Brittany Wiser

Brittany Wiser easily could grace any runway. She’s got a great look. Beyond her beauty the platform of suicide prevention. This tells me that she is ready not only ready to bring people back from the brink, but also to inspire.

No one game is fun that you already know the outcome of beforehand. With a unique blend of judges this year, it would be nice to see an unusual yet fresh image of Miss America emerge.
