Becki Ronen, was crowned Miss Kansas 2009 and will be competing for the Miss America title in January out in Las Vegas. Becki Ronen is a Kansas State University student who was competing as Miss Flint Hills, when she was named Miss Kansas 2009. At Kansas State, Ronen is a trumpet performance major whose platform is promoting the arts in schools. Becki is 20-years-old and though she failed to win any preliminary awards swept the judges away during the final stage of competition.

Other winners in the Miss KS pageant are: Miss Meadowlark Alexandra Miller first runner up, Miss Wooded Hills Paula Prosser second runner up Miss Emerald City Staci Klinginsmith third runner up and Miss Augusta Lauren Werhan fourth runner up.
