Best Hairstyles for Pageantry

In pageantry hair is a woman’s glory or a promising queen’s Achilles heel. Your hairstyle will have a major affect on your appearance, presentation and will even reflect your personality. Choosing the best hairstyle to present during a pageant is vitally important in order to win the crown.

The hairstyle that you choose will either add to or take away from the presentation of your clothes and even your talent. The dressing room for the pageant is generally small and intermissions are very quick so learning how to style your own hair is important. Before the pageant, learn how to style your hair in the order, which you are presenting the hairstyles. This will help you slide into a routine and will take off some of the stress resulting from the competition.

Selecting the Right Hairstyle

Take note that some styles are going to look good on others, but not good on you. Work with a stylist that you trust and try a variety of hairstyles out ahead of time. Hair color, thickness, and length will determine if certain styles compliment you.  Seek the opinions of others in your pageant circle to get honest feedback. Also keep in mind that some of the hairstyles that celebrities have or ones you find in magazines look good on that person, but that particular style may not do you any justice.

The trick to this is to make sure you do those long (or short) locks so that they outline your best features. When you choose a trend, you should make sure the hairstyle compliments your best features.

Apart from all of the hairstyles you need to make sure that your style is something that makes you feel beautiful and powerful when on stage.
