Miss America, Katie Stam, is the first titleholder to ever be crowned from the state of Indiana. Though she is enjoying her new found celebrity status her year is nearly halfway over, and being this Saturday, June 6th, the Miss America pageant season begins. On Saturday eight new titleholders will be crowned: Miss Wyoming, Miss Oregon, Miss Kansas, Miss Missouri, Miss Alabama, Miss Nebraska, Miss Oklahoma and Miss New Mexico.
