Erin O’Connor, former Miss Macomb is crowned Miss Illinois 2009. Erin was a preliminary winner in the swimsuit competition and also won the service award earning an additional $1,000 in scholoarship money. O’Connor will appear on TLC’s, “Countdown to the Crown” alongside the 52 other Miss America contestants and as Miss Illinois will have the honor of pursuing the crown of Miss America, Katie Stam, in January.
