Miss North Carolina, Kristen Dalton, was just crowned Miss USA 2009! Kristen Dalton blew the crowd away and after the onstage question the judges all agreed that she was the clear winner.
The Miss USA pageant was held at Planet Hollywood Casino and Resort in Las Vegas and though had some interesting music selection was true to the quality of Donald Trump. The pageant was hosted by Billy Bush and Nadine Velazquez and it was a sad but memorable moment when Crystle Stewart, Miss USA 2008, passed on her crown to Kristen Dalton.

- Miss Arizona – Alicia-Monique Blanco (2nd Runner Up)

- Miss California – Carrie Prejean (1st Runner Up)
- Miss Kentucky – Maria Montgomery (4th Runner Up)
Miss Congeniality USA 2009
Miss Wyoming won the Miss Congeniality which is a great award to receive but unfortunately in the years past whomever has won this award has not placed well in either the Miss USA or Miss America pageants. This is not to say that you should not be nice but that you should not get upset if you fail to receive the Miss Congeniality Award.
Miss Photogenic USA 2009
Miss West Virgina won the Miss Photogenic award which as you can tell by the picture above was well deserved.
I think that is crap! The only reason why Miss California did not win was because she said that she believed in same sex marriage. Did you see the look on the judge’s face who asked her the question? He was clearly offended.
I am glad Miss North Carolina won. Her on stage question and answer was not the greatest but I liked her anyways. But what was with everyone wearing white evening gowns? It seemed like everyone in the top 15 was wearing one?
