Nicole Miner has been crowned Miss New Mexico 2009! Nicole Miner a 21-year-old, singer from Albuquerque sang, “Foolish Games,” as her talent for the Miss New Mexico pageant winning the preliminary talent award on Thursday night. Miner who was competing as Miss Southern New Mexico, also won Wednesday’s preliminary swimwear competition. Miner succeeded former Miss New Mexico, Christina Olmi and will compete in Las Vegas for the Miss America crown in January, 2010.

Other winners at the Miss New Mexico pageant were: Miss San Miguel County Madison Tabet, first runner-up; Miss Enchanted Circle Kelci Johnston second runner-up; Miss Alamogordo Sarina Turnbull third runner-up and Miss Albuquerque Amanda Wiley fourth runner-up.
