I had such an amazing experience competing in this system the both times I did. Everyone is very professional, Patty is amazing and when I won my state title she laid everything out and held a briefing session immediately afterward to make sure all the winners knew what was expected of them heading to nationals in regards to forms, payments, hotel bookings etc. She personally replied to every email and question I had instantly and I never felt out of the loop with the information I needed.
This is a wonderful system and I love how they covered your travel expenses to Nationals unlike other systems I've competed in previously.

MAC Pageants became a part of my family’s lives 16 years ago when my daughter competed in the Sweetheart Division (Minnesota) and won her first Queen’s title. Since then, we’ve stayed connected and close to MAC Pageants, locally and nationally, and we’re so thankful to be a part of the MAC family.

Like most parents, my husband and I were unsure about having our daughter compete in pageants, yet we ‘relented.’ In no time, our reservations were put to rest! Our experience then, and over the years, has been nothing short of wonderful, especially for my daughter!

So, if you’re a parent that’s unsure about having your daughter involved with pageants, let me share……Yes, MAC Pageants really is all about family! Yes, they really do make every young girl feel special! Yes, the skills these young girls develop through interview, speaking, acting, etc, really do evolve into meaningful and useful ‘life’ skills!

Thank you, MAC Pageants, especially Patty and Josh, for all that you and your pageant, have done to support the growth of my daughter into a well-rounded, talented and lovely young lady. If given the chance, we’d do it all again!

This is an amazing family experience. My daughter learned so many lifelong skills in her years as a MAC contestant, from sportsmanship to interview skills to public speaking and how to handle any situation with poise and grace. She is currently a successful college student, excelling in her studies, able to handle any curve ball tossed her way. I truly believe she learned so much through competition at MAC under the nurturing and friendly guidance of the NAC staff. As parents we learned how to let our daughter figure out how to succeed while having fun at the same time. This is truly an experience not to be missed. And did I mention she lived her years with MAC so much, that she went in stalk for the past 2 years to be with the people who truly watched her grow up!

When our daughters were very young, my wife had this “idea” that it would be good for our daughters to be in pageants. As a football guy, and a man, I had a stereotype that this was a very bad idea. But, the convincing thing my wife said was they would gain experience in public speaking and interviewing. As a businessman, I knew these skills were invaluable. We went through several pageant systems and, quite frankly, our daughters were successful in all of them. But my wife told me about one system that really seemed attractive to our youngest daughter. But, it would require our family to spend Memorial Day weekend in Orlando. And, if our daughter won, we would spend the entire week of Thanksgiving in Orlando. I thought she had lost her mind! Those were precious holidays! But I decided not to fight the women, and attend a pageant that precious Memorial Day.

My wife had met a bunch of great women on a blog before we even arrived. From the moment we checked in to the hotel it was like a family reunion! That first day I met a few of the “competitor’s” fathers, and today they remain some of my best friends! I think that my commitment to MAC came the second day when our family was on a bus to Disney. We talked to several girls who were older than our daughter. We saw, first hand, how these girls were so poised, classy, confident and genuinely loving. We knew we needed to call this pageant system “home”. After five consecutive Thanksgiving holidays spent at the Disney Hilton, I am sad that our journey ended….and, by the way, so are the many Hilton valets, housekeepers and waiters who became like family!

For any parent who is on the fence about signing their daughter up for a MAC pageant, I leave these words of advice: just do it! Although our daughter is no longer competing, because of the interview and public speaking skills she learned at MAC she was one of the few, out of 2,400 women, who received an invitation to join her #1 sorority of choice at Florida State University. The funny thing is, her MAC sisters were there also!

As my wife told our girls in pageants, this is a great experience. As parents, we believe that MAC is the best experience of all pageants!

A little over 3 years ago, a friend told me I need to put my daughter in a pageant. I wasn't sure about it at first. We signed Cali up for the Florida Sunshine State MAC. The first night at the work shop, Cali did not want to get on that stage. She had just turned 5 and really had never been on a stage before, but by the end of the weekend, we almost couldn't get her off, she was hooked. She did not get a title that year, but she has competed every year and now 3 years later she will be attending her 4th Nationals in November. We fell in love with this pageant system from the start. Mrs. Patty is AMAZING and is always there at check in and if when every you have questions or concerns!!! The MAC staff is AMAZING too!!! They are so great with the girls and are always there to help if you need them. They make the pageant fun and try to make it as stress free as possible. This system has done so much for Cali. She is now 8 and can get on a stage and sing, give a speech, MC, give her introduction and what ever else may come up, without being nervous or scared. She is usually one of the first ones to volunteer in her class to give a presentation! She has gained so much confidence from MAC, that she will order her own food, go up to a store worker to ask where something is, she has no problem talking to people and it's all because of MAC. This is the one pageant that we look so forward to every year and can not wait for Nationals.!!! She has done other pageant systems, but nothing can compare to MAC!!! She has, also, made so many friends through MAC and some of them will be lifelong. As long as she wants to participate in pageants, she will always compete MAC. Once a MAC girl Always a MAC girl!!!! #MACPACK

My daughter won a state title with another system and was under contract for a year. We went to their nationals and my daughter had 2 panic attacks. We had a great time at the pageant and left with many new friends. On the way home Bailey said "well at least now I can do MAC". As any tired mom driving home after a national pageant would do, I rolled my eyes and said "yes, at least you can do MAC now". I was not even wanting to think about another pageant. We get home and the next weekend we are off to do MAC. My daughter had competed at MAC for 6 years and was never able to win a state title. That never stopped her. She always wanted to go try again. She loves the contestants and has met some of her best friends there. She adores the staff and really does consider them family. I was so concerned as a mother and after the panic attacks she had the week prior. She went to this pageant I got her ready for interview and she left with the girls in her group. I sat outside and listened to the girls talk to one another while waiting on interview to start. Some of these girls she knew some she did not. They talked and laughed and took pictures like old friends. She came out of interview smiling. She won this state pageant after 6 years of trying. She was beside herself. It was a moment she will never forget. This review is not about the win or loss. In this sport we all know there is more losses than wins. This is about the friendships that my daughter has made with this system and the fact that she feels safe here. She feels at home. That weekend I watched her dance in the ballroom and laugh with strangers that by the end of the weekend were not strangers anymore. I would more than recommend this system to anyone that is starting out or season veteran. You truly do feel like and are treated like family. #MACPACK

If you are looking for a pageant that will help your daughter grow, gain some independance, and learn sportsmanship then look no further. Miss American Coed -MAC is the system you are looking for.
Patty Hawkins - The National Director has impressed me with her professionalism, she personality and her values.
Tell me how many events have you attended only once a year and had the person running it remember your name and your child's name, Miss Patty has.
I started my daughter in MAC in 2006 and we have competed every year. I have watched as this system has moved from individual state directors doing their own thing, to Patty Hawkins and her staff running it all with such a professionalism, it make my head spin.
No my daughter does not win every year, In fact she has only won two MAC title but for us that was ok. My Daughter has learned more just being part of this system. She first learned that its not just about winning.
She learned sportsmanship, she learned to except that some people are not going to see you the way you see yourself, and that's OK but you don't stop believing in yourself. She learned that you don't stop working and trying for a goal that you want.
She has made friends with girls from all over the United States, she has learned to work with people where they are at and realize that finding the middle ground with some people is the best you can do.
My daughter is confident and sure of herself. She is motivated and hard working. Could she learn this in other places of course but she has learned all of this as a member of the Miss American Coed Family.
Oh and yes she has won one - yep one state title in the 11 years we have done MAC, in 2015 as a Jr. Teen
But that has not stopped her from using all the skills that she has learned to become the chairperson of her tribal youth council. To being appointed as a youth Ambassador for her tribal nation. To working with tribal, local and state agencies to improve how children view themselves and looking at how these agencies can work better with the youth.
To also being able to win a four point crown and one day maybe compete for Miss America.
Yes all of this - this is all in someway Thanks to what my daughter and yes I have learned from being involved with MAC for the last 11 years and I plan on many more as My Granddaughter will soon be able to begin her road to success with Miss American Coed.
Oh wait and Disney when we go to Nationals we get to spend a day in Disney with some of the most amazing young ladies. The week that we spend in Florida at Nationals during Thanksgiving is something we look forward too.
So please what ever state you are in come and check out MAC or contact Miss Patty to see if your state has a title open and come straight to Nationals
    MAC is a blast
Hope to see you there soon
