Miss Idaho USA 2017 Evening Gown
Miss Idaho USA 2017, Cassie Lewis, was a vision in this burgundy gown with a beaded top as she competed at Miss USA 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada, during the preliminary competition.

Red, burgundy, coral and anything in the red family can sure be a statement color on stage. Not only do they work for a wide range of girls competing, they often look great against many stage backdrops!
Cassie chose this satin, burgundy gown with a beaded v-neck top that looked great against her skin complexion and brown hair.

The top of this gown is absolutely gorgeous.
The gown’s design includes a satin cape, tank sleeves, a deep v-neck mesh illusion and a multi-crystal beaded design that consumes the entire top and ends at her natural waistline, transitioning into a satin bottom.
Satin can be a very tough material to wear on stage. It can be unforgiving, clingy and, at times, overbearing. In this case, I believe Cassie’s figure is lost and overtaken by the material.
Cassie chose to leave her hair down, styled in medium sized curls. Because the beading on the top of the dress is so elaborate, I would have liked to see Cassie style her hair up and away from the dress design. (Read: 4 Easy Updos Any Pageant Girl Can Achieve)
I did, however, love the large, crystal earrings and shoes she chose to pair with her gown. Cassie picked silver, ankle strap, crystal heels to strut down the runway, making the top of her gown design all tie together.
There is no doubt that Cassie looks great in this burgundy color, but the satin material of the bottom portion and cape are going to make it a MISS for me.
