I love the simplicity of an illusion embroidered gown. It makes the overall look emanate a sense of freshness and regality.
I especially love the unique color of this gown. Mint green is an immensely unpopular color choice for evening gowns and I like that Demi-Leigh took the risk. This color looks stunning paired with her dark hair color and bronzed complexion.
Demi-Leigh’s evening gown presents a column silhouette, tulle overskirt and floral embroidery throughout.
Demi-Leigh’s modelesque physique is emphasized by this fitted gown. The tulle overskirt offsets the sex appeal of the silhouette and adds modesty.
The unique halter neckline and plunging neckline also incorporate sex appeal.
This bold lace pattern draws the eye, especially in a sea of simple solid-colored evening gowns. When you are competing against a large number of contestants, it is important to make choices that will allow to you be more memorable. Demi-Leigh nailed it. (Shop: Pageant Shoes)
My only concern with this gown is that it is a little too busy. I find myself distracted by the pattern and elements of the gown instead of looking at the contestant within the gown. The best evening gowns will always draw more attention to the contestant rather than the gown itself.
With such a bold gown, I am happy to see that Demi-Leigh chose to style her hair and makeup simplistically and classically. She styled her long dark locks in large loose curls swept over to one side. This showcases her stunning facial features.
She paired her gown with understated crystal earrings. I would have preferred to see her tie this look together with a statement crystal earring.

I love the bold choice Demi-Leigh made with this gown. Her color and styling choices were spot on. However, I feel like this gown misses the mark in a few areas. I would love to see this silhouette and color paired with a more simplistic design. Unfortunately, this gown is a MISS for me.
