Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres recently gave her fans a preview of her performance on Mira Quien Baila. Torres is dancing with professional dancer Jonathan Platero. He posted on Instagram, ” I have the pleasure of meeting and working with such beautiful people like her who completely transformed into a brilliant dancer last night right in front of everyone’s eyes! You are a star!”
The show is in its fifth season and premiered on September 17, 2017. It can be seen on the Univision channel in the United States. The judges are celebrities and former performers, including Horacio Villalobos, Bianca Marroquín, Lili Estefan, Ninel Conde, Alejandra Guzmán, Roselyn Sánchez and Johnny Lozada. The show pulls in millions of viewers each week.
About Dayanara Torres
In 1992, Torres had a successful career in pageantry. She placed among the top contestants at Miss International and also placed as the 1st Runner-up to the Queen of World Contest. Torres won Miss Puerto Rico in 1993 and the opportunity to represent her country at Miss Universe. She ended up taking the coveted Miss Universe title at 18 years old. Shortly after her reign, she was dubbed the “Dancing Queen” by her fans in Puerto Rico. She had a brief film career in the late 1990s before moving into the television industry. She starred on several reality television shows in the early 2000s. In 2016, Torres made her return to television on the Philippines show ASAP, which is a musical performance show.
