It’s not uncommon to see pageant girls across the world posting psalms and singing their praises to the deity of their choosing.
Many even do so the moment they are crowned.
Even before hitting the stage, girls can be found in corners and hand-in-hand praying for calm nerves, steady feet and passionate hearts when they enter the interview room or hit the stage. (Read: The Pageant Planet’s Best Tips to Managing Your Nerves)
This is why Jackie Watson, four-time, award-winning National Director of USA National Miss, and Kayla Watson, former international titleholder and current Creative Director for USA National Miss, created a 30-day devotional specifically for pageant contestants.
What is it?
“It’s a 30-day devotional that will help inspire, encourage and provide daily reflection on how to let your fame and faith coexist in the pageant world,” Watson said. “It includes stories from pageant titleholders throughout the country.”
Every pageant girl knows it is especially helpful to read about the struggles and strengths of fellow pageant sisters when we need a bit of a boost and guidance. (Read: How to Keep Your Pageant Confidence High During Competition Week)

Being a titleholder takes commitment and passion, but it can also be stressful, and because you are in the service of others, you may forget to take care of yourself.
So, make sure you are in the right mindset going into it all to ensure you can put your best foot forward in all aspects of being a titleholder. Devotionals are a great way to do just that.
May the one who wore a crown of thorns, help you win a crown of stones (and a bouquet).
Good luck, ladies.
