Pageant Question About Changing
Today’s Pageant Question of the Day is: What is something about yourself that has changed over time?
Why this question was asked: Everyone changes over time. The judges might ask a question like this to see how you have grown and how your values and sense of self has developed.
This is how some of our Instagram followers answered the question:
Ariana (arianagibbons): My approach to difficult situations. I used to view them as hard tasks to stay away from. Now I embrace the challenge and view it as a growth opportunity.
Tracey (tracey.hirsch): My confidence and standards have drastically changed over time. The older I get, the more comfortable I am in my own skin, which, in turn, increases my self-worth. Knowing your own value is amazingly rewarding.
Noelia (noeliasarmientoo): Confidence has definitely changed for me over time! Doing pageants has developed confidence in me and has helped me find my inner beauty. I have accepted my flaws and learned to rock them. Nothing’s more beautiful than a woman with confidence.
Deidra (missswmousa2018): My self-worth, self-confidence and outlook on life. I’ve been through a lot in my life that has caused me grief, physical and mental pain and heartache, but I’ve still managed to always look up to God and stay positive! I am a SURVIVOR: a survivor of bullying, sexual assault, organ failure and a family murder. I sit here and look back on my life as someone who’s never a victim. My past and what’s to come will haunt me every day but I’ll still stand confidently beautiful!
Emily (emtinsman): My level of confidence and belief in myself. Since I began competing in pageants, I’ve gained a better understanding of who I am and who I want to be, which makes me so excited for what’s ahead for me!
(modelchic): My way of thinking. I tend to not only think for myself but for others as well. Being diagnosed with anxiety changed my whole perspective. Nobody knows what personal things another person is fighting behind closed doors. I’m more cautious of the things I say and the way I say them, as well as others’ feelings. I listen more. I know how it feels so I treat others the way I want to be treated!
Ashley (nationalelitejuniormiss): My integrity and my willingness to help others. I don’t think there has ever been a pageant where I haven’t helped someone do a quick change and I even did someone’s hair and makeup last minute when their stylist didn’t show up.
Our favorite answer:
Chá (chabriggs): Over time I have become more enlightened by everything I’ve experienced. I can now say I am more positive and I am driven by my dreams. I’ve learned that walking through life with a negative mindset will only make life harder. I strive to treat each day like a fresh start. I wake up every morning with a goal in mind and I fight each day to reach that goal. Life is too short; I want to live my life to the fullest and pursue every dream I have.
The judges would like this answer the best because she is thorough yet not overly detailed, and the way she worded her answer might prompt follow-up questions from the judges. (Read: Pageant Question About Facing Fears)
