Pageant Question About Defining Beauty
Today’s Pageant Question of the Day is: How would define “beauty”?
Why this question was asked: Pageant titleholders are often seen as beautiful people, but what does beauty truly mean? Being able to define it shows the judges what qualities in a person you find to be admirable, as well as what type of “beauty” you prioritize.
This is how some of our Instagram followers answered the question:
Rosalie (rosalie.finther): Like Coco Chanel said, “Beauty begins at the moment you decide to be yourself.”
Dezirey (dezire.y): Attitude. Personality. Compassion. Strength. Selfless. Humble. True beauty starts on the inside and works its way out.
Nisha (nisha_gill): I believe beauty is a subjective concept that truly lies in the eye of the beholder. Things become beautiful when you choose to view them in that light. Immersing yourself in positivity and humility is the key to living a beautiful life and regarding yourself and others around you as beautiful.
Kiana (green_eyedmermaid): In today’s world, everyone is obsessed with having beauty, whether that’s the perfect weight, long hair, perfect curves, a flawless face… but those things fade. What shows true beauty is the way you love people, care for them, how you treat them, your passions, your dreams and your goals. The things that make you unique are what makes you beautiful. We have enough people that know how to make themselves look perfect. What we need more of is loving and kind people – that’s beautiful!
Ashley (sunshine_state_babe): To me, beauty is treating others how you want to be treated and treating others with kindness and respect. Looks mean nothing if you treat others poorly. Having a heart and being compassionate towards others is beautiful.
Sydney (sydneyglasss): Beauty is not just what you see on the outside! Beauty comes from the inside, from the heart. When you truly get to know a person is when you know how ‘beautiful’ they are. Beauty is defined by what is on the inside.
Our favorite answer:
Sarah (sarahb314): In my opinion, beauty means having both confidence and kindness. It’s true what people say about having inner beauty: it only shines with care and compassion. Other people will only see that shine if a person has the confidence to show and believe in themselves. It’s so important to be true to ourselves and others because everyone has their own special shine that the world is excitedly waiting to discover.
The judges would like this answer the best because she presents her thoughts clearly and recognizes that there is beauty within everyone. (Read: Pageant Question About Your Definition of Success)
