Pageant Question About Improving Yourself
Today’s Pageant Question of the Day is: What is one thing you would like to improve about yourself?
Why this question was asked: Nobody is perfect. It is important to be able to recognize areas of potential improvement and to be willing to work on them.
This is how some of our Instagram followers answered the question:
Anamika (jhaanamika61): I am a very emotional person, which is sometimes helpful, but sometimes it turns out to be my biggest weakness. I would want to have control over my emotions so that it does affect my rationality.
Demour (missdemour): One thing I’d like to improve about myself is strengthening my commitment to helping my community. I’m currently an advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and I’ve helped raise funds for the Charlotte’s Dream Non-Profit event, Fashion for a Cause events and many others. Although those are all great causes, there is a never-ending list of causes and current issues happening daily. Making time in my schedule to volunteer and spread awareness will strengthen my commitment to being a major role model in my region.
Franki (franki_kootcher): One thing I would like to improve about myself is knowing when it’s time to take a step back and knowing when I have reached my limits. I constantly try to help others whenever I can but I can’t do so if I am not okay myself.
Our favorite answer:
Nevaeh (discoveries.happen): I find myself constantly helping others. I love reaching out and touching other people’s worlds. However, this has resulted in me losing myself several times by trying to influence others’ lives. Once, I helped a friend with a divorce but took on a lot of her emotions and it ended up hurting me in the process. Now, I am learning to still help and reach out to others, but learn my boundaries and when to refrain.
The judges would like this answer best because she uses a specific example and explains how she plans on improving. (Read: Pageant Question About Your Biggest Strength)
