Pageant Question About Smells
Today’s Pageant Question of the Day is: What is your favorite smell?
Why this question was asked: This is a question likely to catch you off guard, so delivering a well thought-out answer shows you can think quickly and adjust to any situation!
This is how some of our Instagram followers answered the question:
Kritica (kritica_choudhary_): Petrichor is my favorite smell. The freshening aroma of summer rain is one of life’s pleasant scents. It hits me hard by creating a positive effect on my mood which in turn infuses me with energy and make me realize the power of nature.
Josie (josie_terry): I love the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven. It brings back a lot of childhood memories of baking with my mother. Not to mention, I’m a huge sweet tooth and love cookies!
Faith (faithalyssa27): Freshly roasted coffee! My Nan and I used to sit in her rocking chairs and talk over a fresh cup of coffee every single day, so it will forever be a smell that brings my heart back to a time of life’s simplest pleasures.
Medina (medina_marie86): I am so off the weird charts when it comes to smells. I absolutely love the smell of regular Banana Boat sunblock. It brings back childhood summertime memories. Add in burning firewood and homemade sauce with Italian garlic bread and you have my top four!
Krizen (krizen_vega): My favorite smell would be the smell of a panaderia (bakery) and the fresh bread being cooked. I love taking trips with my dad or family and getting conchas and sugar cane Coca-Cola. It’s definitely a lot of sugar but I’m willing to cope!
Lacy (lacy.russell): Bonfires! Fall is my favorite season and it reminds me of that time of year. There is nothing like sitting around a bonfire at night in jeans, boots, and a sweatshirt enjoying the great outdoors.
Our favorite answer:
Paige (paigegwarren): My favorite smell is the smell of swimming pools. Chasing personal bests and working out aggression in the pool has been the majority of my life and the smell reminds me of all my happy memories of competition.
The judges would like this answer the best because it tells the judges about a big part of her life and would prompt follow up questions. (Read: Pageant Question About Sports)
