Chokers have been the trend in pageant gowns for a while now, but this choker gives us an asymmetrical flare. Black velvet hugs the body and is on trend for this fashion season. 3.  Miss Georgia 2018, Alyssa Beasley

Long sleeve gowns can often translate as outdated, but this gown certainly is modern and a little sexy while still being modest. The portions of the deep neckline and high slit are balanced by the draping on the front of the gown and on the sleeves. The dress is fitted but had movement on stage, making Miss Georgia look gorgeous and ethereal.

  5. No Montana in a Top 10 list? Hmmm…. seemed like it was the resounding fan favorite.

  6. Miss Kentuckys dress was to die for! My absolute favorite by far!

  7. interesting comments… but I completely disagree with some of these comments. I find the evening gown should enhance the woman give an idea of this woman’s style. Some of the gowns were very ornate and distracting and took away from the essence of the woman wearing it. What did you remember, the girl or the gown? It’s like a commercial, if the ad is entertaining but you don’t remember the product the next day, then the goal wasn’t reached.

  8. I was simply shocked that Miss Georgia, did not continue further after the evening gown competition. There was a most audible “ahhhh” in the room where I watched the pageant when she stepped out in that jaw dropping white gown. It was perfection on her frame…from the sillouette, to the tone of the ivory on her skin, to the originality of the cut. It was the outstanding favorite for us, so we were stunned that it was not more well received. So glad that The Pageant Planet has such refined taste! The irony is that everyone thought the gown had long sleeves (and by the way I respectfully disagree that a long sleeved gown can translate as outdated. I think a long sleeved gown can translate as “aging” if it is not appropriate for the woman wearing it. However, poofy sleeves….now that’s outdated), but the sleeves were actually cut out. The fabric is only on the outside of the arm, the inner arm is bare. I think it is pure genius!!!
